I understood little meaning of the term 'Dialogue' when learnt what Habermas and Amartya Sen had to say....never realised what they meant when they say that it is the solution of all modern day problems....but it came as a surprise when all my problems had their solutions hidden in different such 'Dialogues' with different beings....and now I crib that I never valued it enough to prevent me from committing blunders in life...that I didnt indulge into it with the right attitude to learn for so long....but better late than never....its Dialogue with friends, family, teachers (who are ur freinds at times of crisis or ur frinds play that role), and with Yourself that has the solution to everything...and I realised the solace that a good Dialogue can provide....its more relaxing than any of the PLAY included by Hart...and any religion....as todays times have forgotten the importance of this word.
When I was a child, I asked my maternal uncle about the history and meaning of the 'Maha Kumbh' in Prayag....and he told me that its an eternal Hindu Tradition, state funded from the times of King Harsha wherein all religious saints from all schools in Hinduism would come to Prayag and stay for a month alongside the holy Ganga and indulge into debate and Dialogue over the spiritual concepts and keep the religion in line with the needs of time...that tradition is maintained but the purpose gets failed as lesser value is now given to the main act of Dialogue. And hence the religion suffers and inturn suffer the people, running amok into a world led by economists who believe that 'Prosperity' is there only in 'Economic Growth' (but I doubt how much 'growth' had been in the times of RAM RAJYA....but peole were Prosperous anyhow).
We have grown arrogant in such a way that we do not want to listen to our criticisms, but enjoy doing it unto others vehemently....thats not Dialogue but a failed Dialogue...even when indulging in self-analysis, we seldom think critically...as we have grown so arrogant that we are not left with the patience to do it that way...and we are too impatient to come to conclusions....a friend said something bad and he is a bad person from then on, a teacher sent u out of the class and we dont like him from the next moment on...we are so easily tempted towards the evils of hatred, mistrust, jealousy, greed, envy, lust, pride, etc....because we dont indulge into Dialogue...Dialogue over all issues with people who want to indulge into it can lead to critical analysis and better solutions....be it emotional, psychological, spiritual or worldly....
BUT...in these times...its even difficult to locate a person with whom one can indulge into positive Dialogue.....and even easier to loose them....as professions lead to geographical distances very soon....and we must try not to loose any such people....coz what matters in life is not whether u win or loose something....but whether one is able to realise how beautifully GOD made this world and appreciate its beauty not only in the static beauty of nature but the dynamic beauty in every human being....
MORALITY : Man(read women and LGBT inclusive) is the creator of his habits, which decide his attitude and inturn frame the fate of his life. Education at home is the most important factor that determines this aspect. Values and Ethics are not so important as is the ability to 'think' critically and analyse. Values and Ethics and born out of such thinking by men and its extremely uncalled for that the new generations be imposed upon by the old ethics and morality rather than equipping them with critical thinking and allowing the independance to decide for themselves. It has been this freedom that has led to tremendous development of the Human Race and it can not be summarised without its impediments on the dynamics of the modern civilizations.
It is only the people with free mind and independant morality who have prevented the dissolution of the social fabrics, whereas whenever people have become irrational and non-critical, it has only led to anarchy or misled growth which leads to distructive developments. What human generations need to pass on to the next is the greater ability to think critically and a better world to implement those thoughts.
The power of DIALOGUE to help, heal and solve is tremendous...and the better and sooner we realise...the better it will be.
