Sometimes I get sad

Sometimes I get sad
Like sad sad.
And there is no real reason
Just the known truths of life
seen in their nakedness
And there is no remedy for the truth
There is no remedy for this disdain towards life
It's not that there is no hope for the future
But how long can one keep walking uphill
with the strength of just hope
Isn't hope nothing but an exaggerated imagination
about victory of the self ??
Sometimes this tires me down
Sometimes this makes me sad
Like sad sad.
